Safety features and tools for families playing together.
We built this server because every other option was either toxic, unsafe, or disappeared after a few months. SteadfastSMP is family-friendly with real moderation - not just a checkbox on a server listing.
Clean chat. Active staff. Tools that let you keep an eye on your kids. And a 10-year commitment so the world your family builds together doesn't vanish.
Automated filters catch common inappropriate language before it appears in chat.
Active staff moderation handles edge cases and player reports. We're adults who take this seriously.
Clear consequences:
Reports are typically addressed within a few hours. You can report issues in Discord or with /report in-game.
Lost in a cave? Stuck in the Nether? Use /tpkid to teleport your child to you instantly.
No cooldown. No accept prompt needed. Your kids can't refuse the teleport - you're the parent.
Your child can type /sos to send you an alert with their location.
You'll see the message even if you're not near them. Then teleport to them immediately.
When enabled, your kids respawn near you instead of at world spawn.
No more "I died and I don't know where I am." Toggle it on or off anytime.
When anyone dies, their items go into a protected chest at the death location.
Even lava deaths are recoverable. Your kids have 3 days to get their stuff back.
Step 1: Join our Discord and ask staff for parent permissions. We'll verify you're a parent (just a quick chat).
Step 2: Once you have permissions, invite your kids with /family invite [their username].
Step 3: Your child accepts with /family accept. Done - you can now use all FamilyLink features.

If you suspect something inappropriate happened, contact us on Discord and we'll investigate.
Players can send direct messages with /msg, but these are logged. If you'd prefer your child can't receive DMs, let staff know and we can disable it for their account.
They should use /ignore [player] immediately to block the person, then tell you or a staff member. You can report issues in Discord or with /report in-game. We take all reports seriously.
The server is family-friendly and moderated, but it's still hard-mode survival with PvE danger. Younger kids do fine with a parent helping them. We recommend playing together until they're comfortable.
Not automatically, but FamilyLink lets you teleport them back instantly if they wander too far. Some parents set rules like "stay within 1000 blocks of our base" and check the live map.
Mix of parents playing with their own kids, and adults who just want a non-toxic environment. The server is run by a small team of adults who've been playing Minecraft since 2011. Everyone follows the same rules.
