How It Works
As a parent, you can register your children in your "family group." Once registered, you gain special controls that make playing together much easier.
Ask an Admin for Parent Status
Message a staff member on Discord or in-game. We'll grant you parent permissions.
Invite Your Kids to Your Family
Use /family invite TheirUsername to send an invitation. They accept with /family accept.
Use Your Parent Powers
Teleport them to you, set respawn points, and keep your family together!
Teleport Your Kids to You
No more waiting for them to accept. No more explaining coordinates. Just bring them to you instantly.
Teleports your child directly to your location. No accept needed.
/tpkid allTeleports ALL your registered children to you at once.
Scenario: Dinner Time
Your kid is deep in a cave. You need to log off for dinner.
Just /tpkid Alex to bring them to the safety of your base,
then you can both log off safely together.
Scenario: Lost in the Nether
Your 8-year-old wandered through a portal and is now crying because
"there's fire everywhere." One /tpkid and they're back safe with you.
Respawn Near You on Death
The worst part of playing with kids: they die, respawn at world spawn, and have no idea how to get back. Not anymore.
When your kids die, they respawn within 10 blocks of you (if you're online).
/family deathspawn offTurn off this feature. Kids respawn at their bed or world spawn normally.
/family deathspawn radius 20Change the respawn radius (default: 10 blocks).
Scenario: Learning to Fight
Your kid is practicing combat and dies to a zombie. Instead of spawning 2,000 blocks away at spawn, they pop up right next to you. "It's okay, let's go get your stuff back together!"
Note
This only works when you're online and in the same world. If you're offline, they respawn normally at their bed.
Managing Your Family
Invite a player to your family group.
/family acceptAccept a family invitation (for the child to use).
/family listSee all members of your family.
/family kick [player]Remove someone from your family group.
/family leaveLeave a family (for children who want to go independent).
Multiple Parents
Both parents can have parent status! Each parent manages their own family group, or you can both be on one account that has all the kids registered.
Privacy & Safety
Only YOU can teleport your registered children. Other players cannot use these commands on your kids. The family invite must be accepted by the child, so no one can force-add anyone.
Why We Built This
We're parents too. We've been there:
- "Dad, I died and I don't know where I am!"
- "Mom, I can't find the house!"
- "I walked really far and now I'm lost and it's getting dark and there's a creeper and—" *connection lost*
Minecraft is an amazing game for families. But vanilla Minecraft wasn't designed for a 7-year-old playing alongside their parents. These tools bridge that gap.
We want your family gaming time to be fun, not frustrating. Spend less time rescuing lost kids and more time building together.
