What is the Crown on SteadfastSMP?

The Crown is SteadfastSMP's opt-in PvP system. One Crown exists on the server. Wearing it gives you Strength, Speed, and extra health, but your location appears on the live map for everyone to see. Kill the holder to take the Crown and become the new target.

Is PvP required on SteadfastSMP?

No. PvP is opt-in through the Crown system. Most players ignore the Crown completely and focus on building and survival. Only Crown holders and those who attack them engage in PvP.

Crown of the Server

One crown. Hunt the holder or claim the throne.

The Crown is our opt-in PvP system. One Crown exists on the entire server. Pick it up and you get powerful buffs - but everyone can see where you are on the live map.

Most players ignore it completely. It's there for people who want some competitive action without forcing PvP on builders and farmers. When someone grabs the Crown, Discord lights up and the hunt begins.

Crown Buffs

Strength I - deal more damage
Speed I - move faster
+2 Hearts - extra health
Glowing - you shine (visible nearby)

Kill Rewards

Strength II for 3 minutes
Speed II for 3 minutes
Stealth - glowing off for 3 min
Revenge block - victim can't hurt you for 10 min

The Risk

Drops on death - anyone can grab it
PvP forced on - can't disable while holding
Can't store it - no chests, no ender chest
Always on map - hunters know where you are
5 min cooldown if you die
Drops after 3 days offline
